A video about the photo installation titled "WATERLINE (2009)" by Alicia Gholar was presented and "WATERLINE: an interactive photo installation" was named the 3rd Top Creative Project by the Visual Communication Division of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communications in Denver, August 11, 2010.

A presentation about WATERLINE titled "Asking Visually: Constructing Community and Identity in the Aftermath of Hurricane Katrina" was made to the 5th International Conference on the Arts in Society, Sydney, Australia, July 23, 2010.

"WATERLINE: an interactive photo installation as catalyst in processing disaster" was presented to Hawaii University International Conferences on Art and Humanities" in Honolulu, January 2012.


WATERLINE has received grants from the Carolyn Rose Strauss Foundation and Sue and Tom Nicholson as administered by the Northeast Louisiana Arts Council, Tommy Barham, the Episcopal Diocese of Western Louisiana, and the McKneeley Professorship in the Humanities from the College of Arts & Sciences, University of Louisiana at Monroe.
